Another fun event held at the Caruso Ristorante Italiano was for their joint promotion with Etihad Airways, wherein all diners get a raffle ticket depending on their minimum restaurant bill.
Launched in March, this was the brainchild of charming Etihad Country Manager Saeed Ahmad – who we missed that night as he was on a business trip – and the dapper Caruso Owner Emilio Mina.
For the grand draw, they gave away the grand prize of economy class tickets to any Europe destination, along with consolation prizes of premium Italian wines.
The winners did not have to be present and they were just advised via a telephone call.
A bonus that night was given to the present diners of Caruso, where they were eligible join the grand raffle. Wow, truly Caruso and Etihad’s generosity made all the diners happy.
Etihad executives Jackie Lim-Gonzaga and Chona Borrel helped the emcee of the evening, dashing gentleman Dr. George Sarakinis, to draw the raffle entries.
Pia Aranez won a business class ticket, whereas Mila Montalbano, Cris Roque, and Yu Hsuan Lin each won economy class tickets.
The highlight of the evening was the performance of world-class pianist Raul Sunico who rendered a beautiful piece, and was later on accompanied by tenor Byeong In Park and soprano diva Rachelle Gerodias-Park who performed Italian and Filipino songs to the delight of the guests. What a treat.
Jazz singer Lilybeth Garcia entertained guests with her lively songs that started the guests’ dancing while still observing social distancing and following health protocols.
All in all, it was such a successful event that Emilio is planning another event in Caruso soon. Ciao ciao.
