The FFALCON Thunderbird FF1 is Developed by TCL

(UPDATED) It has been clarified that the Thunderbird FF1 is developed solely by TCL sub-brand FFALCON, and is manufactured by an independent ODM in China. This corrects initial reports that the Thunderbird FF1 is co-developed with Huawei. In addition to that, it has been corrected that the Thunderbird FF1 uses a Snapdragon 690 and not a Dimensity 900 processor as initially reported.

Here is their statement:

FF1 is developed solely by FFALCON for sale in the China market only and is manufactured by an independent ODM partner. FF1 is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G SoC. Mentions about the product being a collaborative effort with another smartphone brand and powered by anther chipset are therefore factually incorrect.

TCL sub-brand FFALCON, which is known to sell TVs and audio equipment in China, expands into the phone business with the Thunderbird FF1 as its debut device. The phone is a budget mid-range device that comes with 5G connectivity.
