Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Saturday said his brother Antonio ‘Tiny’ Trillanes III died after contracting COVID-19.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce the sudden demise of my brother Antonio ‘Tiny’ Trillanes III,” the former lawmaker said.
“He died of complications due to COVID past midnight today, August 21. He was 51,” Trillanes wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of him and his brother when they were children.
On Friday, the country logged a new all-time high 17,231 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 1,807,800.
Of this number, 123,251 are active; 1,653,351 recovered; and 31,198 died. —KG, GMA News
